How it works

Therapy is basically just talking with a trained professional to help you understand and work through what's going on in your life — thoughts, feelings, behaviours, relationships, or past experiences that are causing you distress or getting in your way.

It's completely confidential and we go at your pace.

What is therapy?

  • Externalising the internal — problems become easier to examine once spoken aloud to someone else

  • New perspectives — a therapist who isn't emotionally enmeshed in the situation can reflect things back differently

  • Corrective emotional experience — being heard without judgement can itself be reparative, especially for people who didn't get that elsewhere

  • Practice space — trying new behaviours or ways of relating in a low-stakes setting before applying them elsewhere

  • Accountability and structure — regular sessions create momentum that's hard to generate alone

How change happens...

What therapy is not...

It's not someone telling you what to do or fixing you.

It's more like having a skilled, objective person help you see your own situation more clearly and build tools to handle it better.
